FAQ

I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received over my career. It’s normal and encouraged for patients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch.

How long does each therapy session take?

Each session is scheduled for 1 hour in length. To some it feels like that is going to be too long and others it feels like it is not enough.  During that hour we will focus on what is most important to you.  Should we find that our time together needs to be adjusted we will have a conversation about the next best step.

Who can use Telehealth services?

Telehealth services are restricted by the Board of Behavioral Health and State Licensure Laws.  As such because I am only Licensed in California, I can only provide Telehealth services to residents of California.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

I believe in affordable health care, especially when it comes to ones overall mental well being.  I offer a sliding fee scale which throughout our time together we will evaluate what is most appropriate for your specific situation.  As this is individualized please reach out to me to inquire further.

Do you accept insurance?

Currently I accept TRICare and I am on the Magelllan In-Network provider list.
Some of your insurance policies allow you to seek professionals as an Out-of-Network provider.  If that is part of your policy there are still fees that are incurred, but we can discuss options on an individual basis.

How do I pay for services?

Private pay or Copays accepted via:

  • Cash

  • Check

  • CashApp

  • Debit/Credit Card

  • HSA/FSA

Returned checks/declined cards/late payments incur a $25 minimum fee.
